Tucson, Arizona
The Creosote (pronounced kree·uh·sowt) suite is a private lower level suite with one king bed, one private bathroom, living room, full kitchen (with stove/oven, dishwasher and fridge), private patio, and frame tv.
This suite can accommodate up to two adults, and one infant (up to two years of age).
JTH Tucson is a small inn lovingly nicknamed Posada, immersed in nature and available for overnight stays. The inn is made up of six private suites as well as over 5,000 sq ft of communal areas for all guests to enjoy. The unique nature of this inn allows us to offer self check-in for a private and immersive experience, while also having an on-site manager available for any questions or assistance you may need during your stay. Your private suite is designed to feel like home upon check-in, and to further that concept you’ll find that this is not a place with a “front desk” or a laminated binder of rules upon arrival. We are so grateful to welcome guests for a relaxed experience here in the Sonoran desert, a place our small team of three also calls home.
Our rural location borders the west side of Saguaro National Park in Tucson, AZ. Situated on 40 acres of land with a forest of Saguaro cactus, native plants, and an abundance of wildlife, this is a space to reflect, reset, and create.
When booking a suite, you will also have access to the shared areas at the JTH Tucson which include: a chef's kitchen, canyon pool (solar heated and best May through September), hot tub (heated to around 100 degrees), rooftop lounge, yoga room, dining patio with a charcoal grill, fire pit (firewood is provided), and living room with a projector.
We provide a light in-room breakfast upon check-in which includes local teas, coffee, almond milk, and gluten-free nut based granola; and we highly recommend picking up groceries for other meals to bring to the inn to fully take advantage of the remote setting, chef's kitchen, and charcoal grill. We also provide private chef contacts as well as other vendor recommendations for added experiences such as massages after booking.
A few things to note:
If you're interested in booking the full space please email us ([email protected]). If you book all 6 suites independently, a buyout fee will be applied.
If you would like to do a commercial photoshoot on-site, bring a private vendor onsite for services outside of our recommended vendors list, or plan on hosting an event such as an elopement or wedding please let us know in advance as this affects pricing.
An incidental fee of $250/room per night may be charged for group stays of 3 or more rooms that are booked individually in an effort to maintain the quiet nature of the inn. For a group buyout with full privacy, please see the JTH Tucson listing.

The Inn is bordering Saguaro National Park West. The closest airport is Tucson International Airport TUS (45 minutes), & Phoenix PHX (1 hour 30 minutes). We'd recommend renting a car from the airport if you're not road tripping in to give you flexibility during your stay. Four wheel drive is recommended as we are located off of primitive dirt roads, but not required.

My partner and I had just come off a week of camping in the COLD of January and this place revived us. The details here are just incredible. We stayed in the Creosote Suite and I still dream of that shower. Such a lovely place and would love to come back again.
We spent 3 nights in the Creosote Suite and so enjoyed every minute of our time at JTH! Such a beautiful, relaxing and tranquil location, stunning decor, such attention to every detail, and so many places to relax and unwind across the property. A dip in the Hot Springs is not to be missed!
This location is truly special—an oasis smack dab in the middle of the desert surrounded by a sea of saguaros it's beyond quiet and peaceful (as is the drive through Saguaro National Park West to get there). The Creosote Suite is spacious and has all the amenities one could want to just hole up and lay low—full kitchen with everything you need to cook dinners and a spacious indoor dining table (but who needs the indoor dining table when you've got a private outdoor patio outfitted with a dining table of its own). Even better? If you find yourself there in the spring there's a cluster of citrus trees whose blossoms scent the air with their heady perfume. The sheets on the bed (Tuft and Needle linen) are a wonderful simple pleasure as is the room spray and the seating area is perfect for spending hours reading a good book. The cherry on top though is the airy shower, complete with a lush indoor garden of plants and lots of natural light. Take a walk through the desert trails that surround the property at sunset and if you're lucky you'll hear coyotes howling in the distance. A true home away from home.
