The Hacienda is a remote two bed, one bath 1958 home located 20 mins from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park in Joshua Tree, CA designed with a 'slow' pace in mind.
The Hacienda is about a 12 minute drive into town, and 15 minutes to the nearest grocery store. If would you would prefer being walking distance to town, we would recommend our other property: The Joshua Tree House

Magical Desert Oasis Getaway
I have been dreaming of staying at one of these beautiful properties for quite some time. We had an unforgettable time staying at this dreamy and magical location at The Hacienda House. It literally was a dream come true. The house was beautiful, the beds were heavenly and the grounds were spectacular. We enjoyed the pool on one of the warmer days (October visit), the fire pit every morning and night, the hot tub and outdoor dining table for dinners. This gal pal trip was complete and more than expected given the beauty and serenity we were surrounded by. We enjoyed watching the wildlife including hummingbirds, road runners, desert hares and we were so fortunate to hear the coyotes and watch them meander close. We even saw one walk right past the metal coyote art structures just beyond the property. The decor of this house makes me want to completely redecorate my own. Everything was beautiful. Thank you Sara and Rich for sharing this gem of a spot. I can't wait to visit more of your properties! With so much gratitude, Kate

We had an amazing stay at Sara and Rich’s home. The space was so well designed we were daydreaming of redecorating our home with themes from the hacienda. The living spaces were comfortable, and easy to “live” in- we read parts of their book on Joshua tree desert living, and we greatly appreciate the intentional design of the space. My husband and I were in heaven on earth and felt refreshed and reset after a 2 night stay in their home. Thank you, Sara and Rich, for opening up your space to others so we can enjoy your special creation!

Fantastic stay! Sara and Rich’s place was a total gem. The view was incredible, and everything about the home was cozy and well thought out. Also very well stocked. We really enjoyed being a bit off the beaten path. Hope to be back sometime. Definitely recommend!

This place is like your own private retreat. So peaceful and quiet. Very comfortable. The house is gorgeous and tastefully designed. Would definitely stay here again.
Enjoy the pure, quiet stillness of the desert
The Hacienda is such a beautiful space. Situated far enough from town to enjoy the pure, quiet stillness of the desert, but not so far to feel it as a hassle to run into town for a bite to eat or to explore the local shops; it's just perfect. The house itself is so inviting and feels like home. We will most certainly be back!
